Internship Opportunity as a Men's Apparel Design Assistant at Summer 2023 at Walt Disney

Walt Disney offers an internship opportunity as a Men's Apparel Design Assistant at Summer 2022. Supports teams in the development of specific projects. Assists teams to ensure the highest quality, consumer focused, trend-right product lines across all channels of distribution (flex business models, vertical and wholesale) that build brand equity and meet financial targets.

You will be responsible for:

• Develop and design product mock-ups, compile line sheets for line reviews, layout creative presentations, and pitch decks.
• Collaborate with design manager to design and approve products.
• Coordinate product submissions for creative reviews and approvals with design team.
• Concept, design, sketch, prototype (including managing art-to-product, 3D modeling, sample creation, fit sessions, and electronic breadboards, where applicable), deliver and present trend-right consumer centric product lines that feature market-leading innovation and great price/value for each tier of the segmentation pyramid.
• Monitor competitors, product innovation and market dynamics.
• Research initial seasonal trends by category.
• Multi-task and prioritize multiple design projects within deadline.

You must have:

• Knowledge in softlines categories (e.g. raw materials, plastic, textiles, print, pattern, graphic composition, manufacturing).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong product design skills (e.g. 3D product design, technical design, sketching, creative application and manipulation of art, fabric and trim identification).
• Strong computer software skills (e.g. MS Office, Photoshop, Illustrator).

Required Education:

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship.
• Be an undergraduate or a recent graduate (within 6 months of your graduation date) pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in . industrial design, toy design, fashion design or other related fields.

Additional Information:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Possess unrestricted work authorization.
• The ability to provide your own transportation to/from work.
• Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are May 2022 - September 2022.
