Internship Opportunity at Kahn Design in the UK: Fashion Designer

Kahn Design in the UK is looking for a talented intern designer to join its team in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

• Researching, designing, and developing ranges to meet the customer's needs.
• Attending meetings with customers and presenting ranges.
• Working closely with the Far East offices to source and sample.
• UK and European competitive, inspiration shopping as part of the team as well as researching future trends.
• Manage own accounts from design to order handover.
• Creative range building and meeting preparation to show new concepts.

• A fashion or textile-related degree with design-related work placemen.
• Strong CAD experience or experience in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Presentable and able to present ideas and communicate well with buyers.
• Creativity is key with a commercial eye for the market.
• Team player with an approachable personality.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management.
• Willingness to travel.
• Experience as a designer in a similar role is required.

Founded by Afzal Kahn, the company has its headquarters in Bradford and showrooms in both Chelsea and Kensington in London. Initially, the company designed and sold alloy wheels, but in 2003 developed into car design modifications and coachbuilding. As of 2011, the company employs 80 people, including 20 designers.
