ITP Media Group is offering a job opportunity as an Editor, WatchPro Arabia (Arabic Speaker)in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
WatchPro is the world’s most influential watch title, read and enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of collectors, enthusiasts and executives from the trade in every corner of the globe. In the next phase of WatchPro’s development, we are launching an Arabic language edition for the Middle East and Arabs around the world.
To make this launch a great success, we are looking for an editor, ideally based in Saudi Arabia, who will lead our coverage about watches for Arabic speakers.
Duties & responsibilities
- Generating news and features every day
- Meeting and interviewing senior executives in the watch industry along with collectors and enthusiasts
- Creative content solutions
- Management of a project, from concept to delivery
- Strong relationship building
- Brand and product extension & development
Eligibility criteria
The editor needs to be a great writer with keen journalistic instincts for stories about what is happening in the watch world. This will include stories about new watches, interviews with top executives, conversations with collectors and features about current and future trends.
We expect the editor to be keen to travel, particularly to the heart of the global luxury watchmaking industry in Switzerland.
Initially, this will be primarily a writing role, but WatchPro is also expanding its video content creation, so being comfortable on camera (and with a camera) would be a significant advantage.
Content will be created for WatchPro’s website, social media channels and a monthly magazine, which is currently published in English and German, with French and Arabic language editions launching this year.
We are looking for someone dynamic and entrepreneurial who loves to turn ideas into opportunities, is driven, accountable, and socially smart, highly organized, a team player who uses their own initiative and communicates effectively.
