Opportunity description
MBC announces a job opportunity as a Business Planner in Saudi Arabia.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the company’s annual planning and budgeting processes, including regular business reviews while defining the strategy and roadmap for transformation for MBC.
- Ensuring alignment between the strategic plans of the Group and the business units.
- Establishing a growth measurement framework for MBC to leverage reviews through production channels.
- Analysis of major projects across key regions in the GCC and outside the GCC.
- Conducting operational analysis of different activities in order to improve processes and analyze spending.
- Investment analysis and review of return options and forecasts.
- Developing an approach for project prioritization and monitoring.
- Improving statistical and financial/business analysis of the company’s data-driven activities.
- Preparing annual business operations plans and business plans.
- Continuously reviewing cost structures and operating models to identify areas for improvement (highlighting implementation milestones and challenges).
- Overseeing service level reports and inputs into scorecard results across the Group.
- Preparing periodic reports for the Executive Committee and Board.
- Preparing management reports and financial forecasts.
- Preparing annual business plans for all business units.
- Project evaluation and support.
- Develop group services processes and structures and work with cross functional teams to improve workflow/communication.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- 5+ years of professional experience in a similar work environment/company.
- Experience in the field and previously working closely with production companies, TV networks or broadcast media.
- A degree in Business Administration from a reputable university (MBA preferred).
- Experience in negotiating and closing deals successfully.
- Proficiency in both English and Arabic.
- Background in financial and business modeling.
- High numeracy and analytical skills.
- Proven skills in conducting industry research and analysis.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
- Be proactive and able to work proactively to add value to the company.
- Be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Previous experience working with senior management and stakeholders.
