Job Opportunity as a Food and Beverage Supervisor with Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways is looking for a Food and Beverage Supervisor to join the team in Doha, Qatar.

1. Execute outlet operations including food and beverage promotions, customer service and inventories.
2. Ensure POS and cash handling procedures are followed as per company policy.
3. Analyse outlet sales items on monthly and quarterly basis. 
4. Review monthly financial performance update i.e. sales v/s budget, item category breakdown etc. 
5. Lead the front of the house employees in training the following: restaurant standards such as alcoholic and non-alcoholic services, food preparation service and customer service. 
6. Restaurant manager in monitoring employees, sales and operations. 
7. Monitor the performance of outlet service, supervision duties include delegating responsibilities, scheduling, coaching and correcting, evaluating, PDR, training and mentoring of employees.
8. Maintain outlet inventory, cleanliness, food rotation and menu service consistency.
9. Maintain policies and procedures, Adhere to HACCP and alcoholic beverages guidelines.
10. Provide assistance to the F&B Management in all service preparations, kitchen rules, service standards, cleanliness and inventory controls for F&B.
11. Update the employees with daily specials, promotional items and plans.
12. Responsible for training team leaders for specific duties and responsibilities.
13. Assist in maintain profit and loss accountability, cost controls and inventories.
14. Conduct inventory for par levels of food and beverages. Assist in establishing methods for inventory control and adhere to purchasing procedures.
15. Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning and operation of the outlet and service equipment.
16. Continue to enhance the guest experience.
17. Assist in the execution of administrative function such as reporting, quality assurance and department meetings.
18. Maintain and demonstrate strong knowledge of food and beverage and trends within the hospitality industry. 
19. Provide direct hands-on approach at all times to deliver quality, prompt food service as needed on busy meal periods.
20. Performs other duties as assigned.
21. Deputize for Restaurant Manager in his/her absence, when necessary liaise.

1. Relevant Vocational or Trade qualification.
2. Accredited Hygiene and Sanitation desirable.
3. Having minimum 4 years of job-related experience in a supervisory role within commercial Food and Beverage operations or 3years of experience in a 5-star hotel or resort Food and Beverage operations required. 
4. Knowledge of HACCP system is Advantage.
5. Ability to perform a full range of physical tasks.
6. Ability to schedule and prioritize workflow.
7. Ability to monitor and oversee all HACCP & QA programmes efficiently.
8. Proficiency in MS Office tools such as MS Word, Excel, Power Point.
9. Control costs in disposables, food and mark outs.
10. Good written and spoken English.
11. Fluent in languages like Arabic, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian will be an advantage. 
12. Ability to listen and respond to demanding guest needs.
13. Possess strong interpersonal skills – outgoing personality and positive attitude.
14. Ability to take responsibility, handle multiple tasks, prioritize and work in a busy environment under pressure.
15. Ability to react to challenges and operational incidents quickly.
16. Ability to work well in team.
17. Ability to work shifts is essential.
