Opportunity description
Aramex is offering a job opportunity as a Freight Operations Supervisor to join the team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Duties & responsibilities
- Support the CMTs by providing solutions and answers to customers’ needs.
- Provide full support to the other functions and teams when needed.
- Ensure received emails are attended to within the time-frame set by the local station.
- Monitor the working schedule and attendance of the staff to ensure proper service during working hours.
- Facilitate the flow of information horizontally and vertically.
- Ensure shipments are handled properly, delays are handled promptly, and system is updated correctly on time.
- Ensure following company freight policies and procedures.
- Ensure all outgoing shipments are alerted and updated properly as per QOSS.
- Ensure all incoming shipments are alerted (if needed) and updated properly as per QOSS.
- Ensure all shipment documents are attached to the CargoWise as per QOSS.
- Daily follow up on any pending shipment (export, import, transit, etc.) and updated are filled on the shipments record in CargoWise.
- Coordinate and follow up with Brokerage team for prompt Clearance of shipments.
- Coordinate with Dispatchers to ensure all shipments are picked up or delivered as per time frames agreed with CMTs and carriers.
- Follow up with carriers that all shipments are received or dispatch as per set schedule.
- Ensure to report all shipment details for transit shipment to concerned station.
- Adhere to company HSSE, compliance and sustainability corporate policies.
- Ensure proper handling for all shipments as per quality standards to avoid any discrepancy.
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor Degree.
- With UAE Driving License.
- Full knowledge in AUH custom clearance system.
- With full knowledge in Sea, Air, Land Freight.
- Knowledge in Incoterms 2020.
- Knowledge In temporary import/export.
- English proficiency.
- Good Knowledge of Word , excel and MS outlook.
- Knowledge of Customs and other government approvals is a must.
- Knowledge of Cargowise is an advantage.
