Disney offers a job opportunity as a Graphics Operator in the USA.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Operating broadcast applications developed by ESPN for studio productions and live events.
  • Working independently on studio and event assignments.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of production-specific graphics.
  • Communicating effectively across the organization to report technical issues.
  • Clearly articulating the source of problems in defective equipment reports.
  • Working flexible hours and days as dictated by production duties including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Maintaining administrative records including shift assignment reports and other required documentation.
  • Training new hires on various studio productions.
  • Fulfilling show lead responsibilities on multiple productions, including documenting overall graphics, workflow efficiency, and communicating with peers.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • Ability to perform at least intermediate level with Windows-based operating system applications.
  • Skills in Photoshop to assist the design team in cutting portraits.
  • A minimum of two years of experience operating on-air graphics systems.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of sports is preferred.
  • Must be willing to work unusual hours and must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure to meet ever-changing deadlines.
  • Must be accurate in spelling and possess strong communication skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation to work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrate versatility in all studio shows including international productions.
  • Proficient use of the ISPN IMS to catalog logos/portraits, custom graphics, and sales items.
  • Proficient understanding of ESPN production terminology, control room etiquette, and overall professionalism.
  • Proficient understanding of various graphic packages and operational procedures.
  • University degree in communications, television and video production, multimedia, or sports journalism.
