Job Opportunity as a Ground Courier Leader at Aramex in Egypt

Aramex is offering a full-time job opportunity as a Ground Courier Leader to join the team in Cairo, Egypt. 

Daily Morning (before leaving the station):

• Recheck the sorting of his team’s shipments.
• Scan all shipments Out for Delivery according to their related routes, prepare and print run-sheets.
• Check that couriers are carrying their scanners in the “scanner’s holster” and are working well.
• Fill the daily couriers’ checklist to ensure that couriers’ appearance is complying with Aramex standards; adequate supplies are available in the vehicle and proper loading of shipments.
• Ensure that ground courier designated vehicle has (installed) active scanner’s battery charger.
• Check that all needed materials are available in the couriers’ bins and/or baskets.

While on Route: 

• Perform the job of regular courier operations & manage the load of his team of couriers to ensure balanced & efficient operations on the ground.
• Perform regular courier operations.
• Balance the couriers’ load considering both pickups and deliveries.
• Perform the job of a floater at his area.

Daily Evening (After return to station):

• Manage the end of day reconciliation process with his team of couriers in coordination with warehouse operations, in order to take the necessary actions to the non-delivered shipments and/or missed collections due to unjustified related reasons.
• Return to the station before any of his team ground couriers.
• Physically check the returns and take the necessary action to attempt delivery again if possible.
• Solve all address related problems faced by his team.
• Report incidents, problems and general performance issues to ground operations supervisor. 

Periodically:

• Structure his team routes, specify them, and assign them to couriers.
• Provide feedback on the route and load distributions to help the ground operations supervisor update the routes on the system.
• Organize the team and manage ground courier substitution.
• Participate with the ground operations supervisor in the annual evaluation for the ground couriers and help in setting annual increases and bonuses.
• Decide on the skeleton staff.
• Arrange couriers’ vacations in coordination with the ground operations supervisor.

1. Bachelor Degree (Business / Logistics).
2. Very Good Command of English Language.
3. MS Office applications (Word, Excel & Outlook).
4. Local Knowledge of areas and neighborhood.
5. Valid driving license.
6. Analytical Skills.
7. Leadership Skills.
