Job Opportunity as a Machine Learning Engineer at TRT in Turkey

TRT Network is offering a full-time job opportunity as a Machine Learning Engineer to join the team in Istanbul, Turkey for 2021. The Machine Learning Engineer reports to the Head of Data & Audience Insights and will be responsible for developing and managing our machine learning environment and specific requests that the digital strategy drives. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in managing and leading machine learning tasks across structured data as well as unstructured media that are streaming in real-time. Preferably, the engineer has experience working for a digital brand in a similar role.

1. Play a key role in building the appropriate machine learning frameworks and ML-Ops in advanced analytics projects and products.
2. Build and work with big data infrastructures, platforms as well as deploy and integrate machine learning models in the cloud and on-premise environments.
3. Track the most recent advancements in the open source community to help TRT stay on the cutting edge of technology.

1. Degree in a computational field related to computer science or related data centric areas.
2. More than 5 years of hands on experience in building and deploying machine learning & deep learning models.
3. Strong knowledge in at least a few of the following fields: Recommendation Engines, Churn Prediction, Customer Segmentation, and Predictive Analytics.
4. Working experience in most recent methods for metadata enhancement in audio, visual, or textual media.
5. Working knowledge of modern programming languages such as Python and/or Spark with Scala.
6. Strong programming skills with one of the deep learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch) and theoretical background on Deep Neural Networks.
7. Implementation experience with high volume, heterogeneous data using distributed systems such as HDFS, Kafka and ElasticSearch.
8. Expertise of implementing data infrastructures by using GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc etc.), AWS(RedShift, , Lambda, Athena, ECS, EC2 etc) or MS Azure.
9. Working knowledge in Docker.
10. Having knowledge of architecting, building, and operating large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks like Kafka and Redis.
11. Familiarity with development processes (GIT, Kanban, DevOps, CI/CD).
12. Demonstrated academic experience in related subjects is preferred.
13. Strong intellectual curiosity and proactive thinking.
14. Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking, creative problem solver capabilities.
15. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
