IQVIA offers a job opportunity as a medical writer in the field of medical communication in Canada. This position will allow you to contribute to a wide range of impactful medical communications deliverables including, but not limited to, publications, conference materials, meeting reports and presentations, to support the company's client base. This position is looking for someone who is proactive, has the ability and desire to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, and possesses excellent writing skills.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for producing a variety of medical communications deliverables to a high standard, by carrying out the following activities:
- Create impactful and accurate content for a variety of the company's clients.
- Understand customer expectations and meet those expectations through teamwork, adherence to deadlines, problem solving, and your scientific knowledge.
- Work closely with project managers, medical directors, editors and creatives to ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables.
- Participate in internal and external meetings to discuss scientific content and the status of written content.
- Monitor assigned projects and manage workload.
- Participate in improving processes and constantly strive to improve work outcomes to achieve better work effectiveness.
- Follows all company standard operating procedures (SOPs), adhering to industry guidelines and deployment requirements.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Advanced degree in life sciences or medical/pharmaceutical background.
- 1+ year of previous writing experience, preferably in a medical communications agency.
- Experience in producing content in various formats such as PowerPoint slides and Word documents.
- Basic understanding of the publishing process and conference activities.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills in order to communicate effectively with internal team, clients, healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders
- Accuracy in work
- A passion for writing and communicating science to different audiences.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.
- Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
- Be in the UK or Canada.
