Opportunity description

Microsoft is looking for a talented Principal Program Manager to join the team and work in California, United States for 2021. 

Duties & responsibilities

  1. Direct interaction with external customers, internal partners and sales teams to understand requirements and drive customer scenarios.
  2. Be the go-to technical expert for networking questions and onboarding; explain, demonstrate, and prove in-depth what the Microsoft Cloud can do and enable the largest enterprise customers.
  3. Be the connection and orchestration point for other technical resources working across Microsoft Cloud services.
  4. Orchestrate cross-workload solutions with Engineers, Cloud Solution Architectures, and Technical Sales Professionals.
  5. Train other organizations within Microsoft to understand Microsoft networking solutions to better scale out and improve customers onboarding.
  6. Publish architectural guidance, best practices, “step by step” guides to Azure.com.
  7. Build and validate sample solutions in the test labs.

Eligibility criteria

  1. 5+ years of related experience in technical roles with customers.
  2. 3+ years working with computer network technologies.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  1. Passion for digging deep into customer scenarios and addressing them through technology or process.
  2. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leading without authority skills.
  3. Ability to prioritize, plan, and track large scale programs.
  4. Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences.
  5. Excellent written communication skills for mass audiences.
  6. Experience operating, designing, and troubleshooting enterprise networks. CCNA level or better.
  7. Networking knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, switches, routers, firewalls and protocols.
  8. Experience in deploying resources to cloud environments a plus.
  9. Experience in “migrating” on premise workloads to the cloud a plus.
  10. BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
