Job Opportunity as a Service Engineer at ABB in Jordan

ABB is offering a full-time job opportunity as a Service Engineer to join the team in Amman, Jordan for 2021. You will be working as a Service Engineer and will be the part of Motion Business Area for Service Division based in Amman, Jordan. In this role you will be reporting to the Local Business Area Manager and will be responsible for handling the service business of drives in the assigned area.

1. Enduring with ABB Health Safety and Environment (HSE) and Integrity regulations with zero tolerance.
2. Ensuring compliance with group HSE directives, and ensuring instructions and regulations are implemented well within the team (including subcontractors), while monitoring and reporting progress and results. Assessing risks and safety hazards and implementing actions to ensure people and equipment safety.
3. Contributing to higher customer satisfaction by ensuring high complex service work according to customer expectations. Interacting with customer to provide customized solutions. Creating and maintaining excellent relationship with customers and molds their needs.
4. Creating new sales opportunities and takes influence in convincing the client for the complete service portfolio.
5. Performing remote and on-site service activities for drives or systems in accordance with customer requirements.
6. Ensuring timely, cost-effective solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
7. Solving hardware and software functional compatibility issues and problems found during service intervention and replacing faulty hardware or software items involved.
8. Maintaining trustworthy relationship with customers to triggers new service opportunities for the sales team to pursue.
9. Generating service sales opportunities for the sales team.
10. Acting as the project technical leader in the service project by analyzing the project requirements and clarifying the project scope.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechatronics engineering.
2. Few years of experience in service with at least 1 year in drive services.
3. Should have experience in service of ABB Variable Frequency Drive (VFD).
4. Good to have experience in medium voltage drive service.
5. Willingness to travel and availability to support outside the working hours.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence both internally and externally.
