Disney is offering a job opportunity as a Social Media Strategist in the USA. You will be responsible for social engagement strategies, content publishing and syndication on Disney and Disney+ social media platforms. You will work closely with team members at Disney, the editorial team, and the Disney Entertainment and Disney+ teams on various social and digital marketing initiatives. You must be collaborative, creative, and organized, with a strong understanding of all digital platforms, in addition to having a strong background in digital or social video production. You must also be proactive, able to work within a team, and possess excellent communication skills.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Managing daily company social content across various platforms, managing relevant @Disney and Disney+ pages in collaboration with strategic officers and team coordinators.
- Communicate daily with various teams, including the social and digital campaigns team, and international campaigns teams, to set and commit to priorities in relevant @Disney and Disney+ channels.
- Collaborate with all internal and external teams throughout the content development lifecycle, from strategy, content conception and production to final execution and delivery for all marketing channels.
- Innovate new social concepts to engage and entertain digital audiences based on brand trends.
- Use data to strategize different programs and develop different social content.
- Submit all your work to the necessary stakeholders for internal approvals (legal, clearances, trademark and franchise, etc.) to ensure content meets business standards.
- Attend brainstorming sessions and meetings that may involve future projects that require cross-team/sector coordination.
- Deliver all approved final work to relevant partners while ensuring the timing of publication is consistent with them.
- Assist in covering live content, marketing events and executing press trips when needed.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- 2-3 years of experience in social media or community management.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to translate traditional marketing content into engaging, relevant brand conversations.
- A passion for storytelling, and listening to what the community want to say.
- Basic understanding of digital analytics and performance tracking.
- Ability to be nimble and quickly adapt to new technologies and trends.
- Ability to find creative solutions to different challenges and use data to develop content.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Suite and Box.
- Understanding social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Organization and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, film, marketing and/or any related field or more than 3 years of experience.
- Familiarity with the Disney brand and content.
- Familiarity with the Disney+ platform.
It is preferable to possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience using CRM tools such as AirTable, Smartsheets, and/or Zendesk.
- Experience with Sprinklr, Creator Studio, Keynote, and Google Slides.
- Previous experience working with large organizations.
Benefits:
- This position will be located in Los Angeles, California with an annual salary ranging from $66,386 to $85,030. The base salary will depend on the candidate's geographic region, knowledge, skills, and job experience.
