Opportunity description

Sapphire Recruitment Consultants is offering a full-time job opportunity as an Employee Relations Specialist who speaks Arabic to join the team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. 

Duties & responsibilities

  1. Maintain a register of employment requirements and a clear process for new hires in all GCC region jurisdictions where our client has offices.
  2. Ensure employees’ hiring is compliant with GCC employment regulations and requirements across our client’s offices.
  3. Handle enrolment of employees in relevant GCC pension schemes according to federal/employment laws.
  4. Coordinate with payroll for GCC pension schemes registration and payments.
  5. Handle registration of our client’s Saudi employees in the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) in KSA as well as the relevant UAE scheme if employed in UAE.
  6. Handle registration of our client’s UAE employees in the relevant GCC scheme in UAE as applicable.
  7. Coordinate with the payroll team on the Wage protection Systems (WPS) where applicable and make sure the monthly payments are in line with the regulations and the labor contracts in place.
  8. Act as a subject matter expert on employment matters and inquiries related to GCC nationals.
  9. Liaise with the Residencies, Work Permits and Visa Team to ensure hiring pipelines are compliant in terms of nationality quotas within our client’s different entities.
  10. Establish and update GCC employees’ entitlements according to different jurisdictions i.e., military service, Hajj leave, leave of absence, extended sick leave.
  11. Liaise closely with the recruiting team to coordinate smooth employment of GCC hires (full timers, secondments, etc.).
  12. Maintain close relationships and touchpoints with broader network to stay updated on internal initiatives and regulations on GCC employment.
  13. Establish professional network of contacts with GCC governmental stakeholders in different jurisdictions.

Eligibility criteria

  1. University degree in human resources, business administration or similar field.
  2. 4 to 6 years of experience in HR operations with focus on GCC employment matters.
  3. Understanding the impact of hiring nationals in different countries or jurisdictions.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  5. Ability to perform and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Excellent organisation and time management skills, strong attention to detail.
  7. Very good working knowledge of computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, G-Suites etc.).
  8. Ability to be flexible, resilient, solution oriented and creative.
  9. Service-oriented attitude, proactive thinker, information seeker and team player.
  10. Sensitivity and discretion when handling confidential information.
  11. Strong people and teaming skills.
  12. Fully proficient in English and Arabic is essential.
  13. Must currently reside in the UAE.
