Opportunity description

Aramex is looking for a qualified Expansion Manager to join the team and work in Aswan, Egypt. 

Duties & responsibilities

  • Ensure the operations workflow is going on according to the SLA.
  • Supporting the sales to meet the customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and ground force for any trouble shooting related to any shipments.
  • Assist the ground force to enable timely deliveries & minimize returns.
  • Make sure that the capacity plan for each courier per area are well applied.
  • Follow up on the various inbound/outbound operations in accordance to the standard procedures and Quality of Services Standards.
  • Ensure reporting to Operations manager in relation to any service failures.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve their objectives.
  • Reporting any information that might impact company image and brand.
  • Adhere to company HSSE, compliance and sustainability corporate policies.
  • Collaborate with the team to locate shipments and assist other operations.
  • Facilitate the flow of information horizontally and vertically.
  • Mentor, develop and coach all direct reports.
  • Ensure having a proper incentive scheme to motivate and acknowledge achievers.
  • Facilitate the flow of information horizontally and vertically.
  • Ensure having a succession plan in place for all critical roles.
  • Spotting the talents and ensure having a proper development plan to promote and grow.
  • Train the team in relation to any new systems or tools introduced in the operation.
  • Communicate any new corporate or local change in operations policies and procedures and ensure everybody is aware and understand it.
  • Coordinate with ground force, customer and internal teams until all cases are resolved.
  • Communicate with internal teams via various means to resolve any cases or concerns.
  • Coordinate with Internal teams for updates and delivery status.
  • Coordinate with ground force for urgent deliveries as per company policy.
  • Cooperate with sales department especially in case of shipment incidents.
  • Manage the request for refunds in cases of excess cash collected by ground force.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customers and team leaders.
  • Focus to maintain company branding and visibility in front of customers.
  • Provide the customers with the efficient and effective customer service.
  • Adhering to set route and timeline for deliveries / pick up.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve their objectives.
  • Ensure that company vehicle is maintained as per company norms.
  • Effectively manage routes with in time assigned.
  • Report any deviations from set norms and processes.
  • Follow company process for security checks and loading before proceeding for pickup / delivery.
  • Track undelivered shipments and handover to team leader on the same day, irrespective of time taken to settle the same.
  • Diligently follow grooming and road safety standards.
  • Adhere the company process & policy for money collection.
  • Ensure having zero loss of shipments.
  • Monitor end of day cash to cashier via debriefing system.
  • Effectively manage hold shipments on the same day via any courier channel.
  • Ensure having zero misroute shipments.
  • Monitor the outsource companies in terms of couriers, efficiency and money collection on time.
  • Handling all the overtime and bonus for couriers.
  • Manage the interview for couriers, receiving and sorting and resignation interview as well.

Eligibility criteria

  1. Bachelor's degree Holder preferred ( Engineering or Logistics & Supply Chain or Business).
  2. Fluent English & Arabic Language.
  3. Excellent Communication Skills.
  4. Excellent Problem Solving Skills.
  5. Eager to Learn.
  6. Team Player.
  7. Leadership.
  8. Experience within logistics, Courier Services, and operations.
  9. 4-6 years of experience in operations.
