The International Rescue Committee offers a job opportunity as a coordinator for innovation and program design in Jordan. You will be responsible for managing the process of designing programs related to early childhood development, which will shape some of the future strategies and programs for Ahl Simsim in the MENA region, in existing and new geographies.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Develop a design process work plan, which includes the design, schedule, and roles of the personnel involved.
- Adapt and develop existing design tools (if required).
- Lead the design process from start to finish, including facilitating design meetings with relevant internal and external stakeholders with the support of relevant Ahlan Simsim staff and IRC technical advisors to come up with program ideas that are complete and ready for piloting.
- Support country programs and growth teams in the process of developing concept notes for fundraising for programs.
- Work with the Research, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (RMEL) team to create assessment tools.
- Work with the early childhood development technical team to adapt capacity-building exercises based on program needs.
- Work with Ahlan Simsim's regional RMEL team to ensure program design and recommendations from targeted learning initiatives are appropriate.
- Work with the digital unit to design and prototype products as needed.
- You will report to the Deputy Project Manager for the Middle East and North Africa region.
- You will also report to the Early Childhood Development Technical Officer, IRC Country Program, Ahlan Simsim and the Regional Staff, IRC Technical Advisors, and fundraisers from public and private donors.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Experience in the design and development of human-centered programs, highly preferable in early childhood development, in the Middle East and North Africa region.
- Proven experience in innovation in the field of humanitarian or development work.
- Strategic planning ability.
- Experience in developing work plans and schedules, working with digital design tools such as MURAL, Miro, and others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with different types of people.
- Planning, organizing, and strategic thinking skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent writing and speaking skills in English and Arabic.
