Opportunity description

Google is offering a full-time job opportunity as a Financial Services Account Manager to join the team in Toronto and Ontario in Canada for 2021. As an Account Manager, you'll manage relationships with customers, staying focused, taking initiative, and effectively multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment to help expand the customer relationship. Additionally, you'll be an advisor and consultant, as well as a customer advocate within Google. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how the range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

Duties & responsibilities

  1. Serve as a liaison with customers regarding new product launches and advertising opportunities.
  2. Provide campaign updates and optimization recommendations to ensure that advertisers are satisfied.
  3. Develop forward thinking, data-driven analysis and recommendations that align with customer goals and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to pitch to customers.
  4. Manage ongoing customer training in all Google Ads-related tools.
  5. Report on business growth figures internally and take ownership with the leader of your vertical.

Eligibility criteria

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  2. 3 years of experience in consulting, digital media sales, account management or financial services
  3. Experience with project management and driving/implementing ideas/initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. Experience in a fast-paced technology start-up environment.
  2.  Experience with the digital landscape across search, display and video and implementing brand campaigns with advertisers.
  3. Experience working cross-functionally, internally and externally, toward a strategic plan.
  4. Experience working with data to identify trends and make recommendations.
  5. Experience managing multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders.
  6. Ability to work with evolving and emerging products, strategically driving and implementing ideas to meet client needs and scale business.
