ProgressSoft is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Technical Writer to join its team in Amman. The primary responsibility of this role is to create and update high-quality technical documentation—including manuals, guides, and training materials—in both Arabic and English. The role involves close collaboration with development and business teams to understand workflows and product specifications, transforming them into clear and comprehensive user-facing documentation.

Duties & responsibilities
Collaborate with development and business teams to understand technical and functional requirements
Create technical documentation and user guides in Arabic and English
Develop FAQs, step-by-step guides, and training materials
Proofread all technical and business documents before client delivery
Translate documents between Arabic and English with clarity and accuracy
Maintain version control and ensure consistency across all documentation
Regularly review and update documentation to reflect current systems
Eligibility criteria
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
1–2 years of experience in a similar technical writing or documentation role
Excellent command of both English and Arabic (written and spoken)
Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills
Team player with a commitment to deadlines and collaborative work
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and diagram tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Draw.io)
Basic understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Experience working with cross-functional teams (Development, QA, Product)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Prior experience in the payments domain is a plus
