Zain Jordan is seeking a Network Engineer to join its Engineering Division in Amman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering IP/MPLS and IPRAN networks, along with related elements such as IGWs, BNG, OLT, DDOS protection systems, Wi-Fi controllers, caching systems, and CGN.

The role includes operation and support for core/access elements and IP services, troubleshooting, preventive/corrective maintenance, and contributing to network development and expansion by integrating new technologies and enhancing performance.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Design, plan, operate, and troubleshoot IP/MPLS and IPRAN core networks with multi-vendor, multi-access technologies

  • Manage and support IGWs, and integrate services with network monitoring systems (NMS/PMS)

  • Implement and maintain BNG, OLT, Wi-Fi controllers, caching, and CGN solutions

  • Study and apply new features and technologies including IPv6, Segment Routing (SR/SRv6), EVPN, DS-Lite, NAT64, SDN, etc.

  • Analyze network performance and deliver technical solutions

  • Contribute to the introduction of new services and technologies

Eligibility criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (preferred)

  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure and routing protocols

  • Strong teamwork and technical problem-solving skills
