Opportunity description

ABB offers a job opportunity in Egypt as a Sales Support Specialist. You will be working as a sales support specialist and will be a part of the Motion Business Area for Drives Division based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to the local division manager and will be responsible for supporting the function of motion business products and systems within the drives products division, this is including tendering, studies, preparing complied quotations (solutions) to customers and technical support.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting front end sales personnel to achieve the order received commitments. Defining the most suitable technology and product type(s) to be used based on application characteristics. Defining the configuration in accordance with the bid commercial needs and requested quality metrics.
  • Ensures the preparation of technical and financial aspects of the offer, indicating prices and trading conditions. Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by sales organization.
  • Analyzing and evaluating specific technical issues and associated risks. Identifying potential vendors for the equipment and materials required in the project and evaluating supplier offers for alignment with the specifications. Collaborating with the supply chain management to coordinate requests of subcontractors.
  • Defining cost for the proposed solution and communicating to the customer/sales organization. Providing information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participating in the risk review assessment.
  • Ensuring the needed technical support to the sales managers during the technical meeting with the customers. Collecting documentation regarding the offer/order and recording assumptions and decisions taken during the development of supply/order.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics engineering.
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in sales support for drives or motors or automation products.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English. The French language is a plus.
