Sumerge offers a job opportunity in Egypt as a Senior Staff DevOps Engineer.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Designs, builds, configures, and maintains Linux and related high-performance systems and storage on-premise and in the cloud.
- Ensures software security, prevent security breaches and other vulnerabilities.
- Maintains detailed documentation of system build and operational procedures.
- Defines and sets development, test, release, update, and supports processes for DevOps operation.
- Implements, maintains, and improves automation of infrastructures and systems.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- From 4 to 5 years' experience in DevOps.
- Previous hands-on experience with Linux Administration, Kubernetes Administration, VMware, and Docker.
- Experience in monitoring and logging tools e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
- Experience in automating and building cloud/on-premises environments using CICD tools like Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Helm, Nexus, Azure DevOps, etc.
- Strong scripting skills using Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc...
- Strong understanding of Network fundamentals Networking Protocols, Firewalls, Load Balancing.
- Experience with Large Scale Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Extra qualifications:
- Experience with Configuration Management (Ansible).
- Ability to build IaaC environments using Terraform or ARM.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, and SOAP XML.
- Familiarity with NodeJS, JSON, and Yaml.
- Experience with Kubernetes Service Mesh (Istio).
