Unifonic offers a job opportunity in Egypt as a Senior Voice Software Engineer. The Engineering team at Unifonic is looking for a Senior Voice Software Engineer to join the team in building a cutting-edge programmable real-time communication platform for voice and video. You will be working closely on the next-generation evolution of the product to deliver a great user experience. You should have extensive experience building and scaling SIP and WebRTC based platforms, with previous experience within an environment where they had to tune and monitor voice infrastructure.
Duties & responsibilities
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop elements of Unifonic's voice product.
- Continued availability of the voice infrastructure to support the customers' use cases.
- Liaise with carriers to resolve connectivity issues.
- Customize Unifonic's voice infrastructure and deliver new solutions.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Experience with opensource voice technologies such as OpenSIPs, Freeswitch, Asterisk and scaling them.
- Strong experience and understanding of protocols such as SIP, RTP, RTCP, SDP and HTTP.
- Experience with Carrier Network management and troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge and experience of networking concepts such as Subneting, Firewalls, NAT.
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure such as Openstack and AWS.
- Strong experience of Python or Java programming.
- Experience in OpenSIPS/Kamailio scripting language or KEMI.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any related field.
- Superb communication skills.
- Fluent in English with excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
