Duties & responsibilities
Provide technical support for used software applications.
Perform regular health checks on front-end and back-end functionalities of applications and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve issues.
Suggest improvements in application performance and user utilization.
Prepare technical reports and coordinate with the Database Administrator (DBA).
Manage application installations and upgrades, and support OS and database teams during these operations.
Document configuration changes, processes, and application monitoring activities.
Support the testing team during system validation phases.
Assist in planning and scheduling upgrades and technical activities that support users and business operations.
Collect and analyze logs, and coordinate with development and L3 support teams.
Manage issues and log/track them via support systems like Jira.
Prepare regular status reports for management review.
Eligibility criteria
Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in application support, preferably in payment applications or similar systems.
Solid knowledge of Oracle Database and ability to write and understand SQL queries.
Familiarity with Linux operating system.
Understanding of payment systems and protocols such as RTGS, SWIFT, and Instant Payments.
Strong communication skills with fluency in English. Arabic is considered an added advantage.
