Opportunity description

Aramex is offering a job opportunity as a Freight Operations Team Member to join the team in Algeria. 

Duties & responsibilities

  1. Agree with CMTs on timeframes to handle all shipments.
  2. Immediately update the concerned CMT with any delay, damage or discrepancy related to shipments.
  3. Communicate to CMTs any new offers and/or promotions that customers can benefit from.
  4. Provide, through the FTS wherever possible, pre and post-arrival information to CMTs on the service requested, helping to meet scheduled deadlines.
  5. Coordinating with CMTs, brokers, customs and internal teams to ensure shipments are handled properly without any delays..
  6. Coordinate labour, documentation, physical handling and directly approach different authorities for moving shipment.
  7. Check convenient schedules, coordinate the delivery and dues ready for collection applicable.
  8. Coordinate collection of documents from different terminals and other Agents.
  9. Coordinate the delivery with the dispatch and ensure POD is signed by customer.
  10. Ensure necessary procedures are implemented in daily operational activities.
  11. Adhere to company HSSE, compliance and sustainability corporate policies and standards.
  12. Use all the online and offline systems to capture data related to customers, customs, duty and other shipment related information.
  13. Arrange for dispatchers to meet pickup and delivery timelines and customer requests.
  14. Submit JCS documents for all shipment to local accounts.
  15. Ensure shipments proper handling as per quality standards to avoid any discrepancy that could lead to penalties or fines.
  16. Follow up with the broker/WH team and client in each batch export progress.
  17. ensure the customs and expert visit for parts inspection.
  18. prepare all needed documents for the customs and bank for export process.

Eligibility criteria

  1. Bachelor’s degree international business. or related Business field.
  2. 2 years’ experience in Import Export Clearance domai.
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  4. Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  5. Time management skills.
