Jobs for Egyptians: Chief Accountant at Al Futtaim

Al Futtaim is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant with an Egyptian nationality to join the team and work in Cairo, Egypt for 2021. 

1. Ensures an accurate & timely month, quarter & year-end closing providing all necessary regular & irregular analysis.
2. Maintaining the Chart of Accounts; ensure adequate and proper classification among accounts’ groups.
3. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the AR department
4. Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
5. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
6. Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
7. Ensure all month-end entries are passed in the system like pre-payment, accruals etc
8. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
9. Yardi Contract reviews and reports

1. A degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
2. Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience.
3. Strong knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
4. Strong Excel and database skills.
5. Strong understanding of setting up and organizing database and spread sheets.
6. Reasonable verbal and written communication skills.
7. SAP financial application experience preferred.
8. Yardi experience is preferred.
