Al Futtaim is offering a job opportunity for Saudi Nationals as a Legal Advisor to join the team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role will support the KSA Legal workload in providing legal advice to key stakeholders in various aspects of business function and strategy and day to day commercial activities. The role will also be involved in providing general legal advice to the group’s retail, automotive, engineering, healthcare and other divisions across KSA on commercial contracts and other commercial and labour matters.
Duties & responsibilities
Contracts:
- Manage and attend to all labour dispute, HR legal advises.
- Draft, negotiate and/or review commercial contracts in connection with the activity of the business, including NDAs, MOUs/Heads of Terms, RFPs, service agreements, purchase agreements, outsourcing agreements and technology agreements.
- Update current contract templates and develop new templates.
- Aid in contract drafting and negotiations undertaken by the procurement team.
- Oversee legal and contractual matters related to current and future contracts.
- Provide advice on tenders, claims, extensions of time, variations, entitlements etc.
- Negotiation of operations and maintenance agreements.
- Support in managing the relationship and negotiation between the organisation and third parties/stakeholders.
Compliance:
- Give expert advice on Group policy and procedures.
- Ensure transaction terms comply with Group policies and procedures.
- Other legal and commercial.
- Assist with general commercial matters as needed.
- Provide effective legal advisory services and continuous support on any arising issues that may impact the day-to-day operations.
Eligibility criteria
- The successful candidate must have appropriate legal qualifications, ideally gained in a common law country.
- 3-7 years plus post-qualification experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Regional experience, though not essential, would be an advantage.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deal with a broad range of matters.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport at all levels of the business.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to confidently deal with diverse situations, people and requirements.
- Demonstrating a practical commercial approach.
