Jobs in Dubai: Tender and Quotation Specialist at ABB Group

ABB Group is looking for a Tender and Quotation Specialist to join the team and work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. 

1. Accountable for proposal making of material handling, welding and cutting, packaging, pick and place.
2. Liaising with the sales team and customers for understanding their application and requirements and interact with the resources from other functions for getting the proposal formatted for the customer.
3. Conduct feasibility study of the application by evaluating the process specifications along with the offline simulation for ensuring reachability and cycle time requirement. Prepare technical write up of the proposed offer supported by presentations, layout preparation, cycle time study and budgeting for the project.
4. Evaluating the need of various hardware used while engineering the solution and therefore making the customers understand the value for the equipment’s proposed.
5. Ensuring on time delivery of effective proposal to front end sales team while accessing risk in the project and costing for the bills of materials based on customer data and requirement.
6. Coordinating with the sales team for signing off the technical offer and for getting a complete understanding of the customer for securing the order.
7. Support project team with the required inputs and participate in the review meetings to ensure that the deliverables are as proposed. Working along with the project team for smooth execution of the project and ensure to provide a proper handover of the project.
8. Travel to the customer location for gathering data required for proposals and for managing the projects.

1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Minimum 5 to 10 years of technical experience on design of components used in Robot cell that includes Jigs, Fixtures, Tooling’s, SPM, Conveyor, Gripper etc.
3. Should have worked on 3D modelling / Solidworks / AutoCAD / CATIA / Process Simulate / Robcad for a minimum of 5 years.
4. Candidate must have knowledge and experience on various robotic applications like Welding and Cutting, Packaging, Material Handling, Machine Tending etc.
5. Knowledge on robot studio simulation is an added advantage.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence both internally and externally.
