Amazon is looking for a talented Data Centre Training Specialist to join the team and work in Dublin, Ireland. The successful candidate will have a data center electrical or mechanical background, excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical content into easy-to-understand training. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have training or technical documentation experience, and above all will have a passion for learning and teaching others.

1. Engage with customers and training advocates to ensure training products and services are aligned with their expectations and goals.
2. Collaborate with learning designers and subject matter experts to create training content and training improvement projects globally.
3. Manage the installation and operation of training centers across EMEA.
4. As and when appropriate, provide practical, hands-on training for Infrastructure Operations teams.
5. Work alongside peers in the other regions to ensure learning opportunities are consistent globally.
6. Ensure employees hold the requisite knowledge and skills to safely operate and maintain data center critical electrical and mechanical systems.

1. Experience managing and reporting on large scale projects.
2. Demonstrable ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and operational points of contact.
3. Experience with AWS data center electrical, mechanical, fire and control systems.
4. Experience facilitating instructor led learning interventions.
5. Proficient with Microsoft Office products (excel, word) and web-based operational tools.
6. Understands the content development process and hands on experience creating training materials and/or written instructions/procedures.

Preferred qualifications:

1. Qualified in a relevant electrical/mechanical/engineering discipline.
2. 3-5 years data center engineering experience in AWS.
3. 2-5 years training or technical writing experience.
