Jobs in Jordan: Chief Accountant at Unifonic

Unifonic is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to join the team and work in Amman, Jordan. The Chief Accountant is in charge of all accounting activities, both financial and management accounting. The Chief Accountant is preparing financial and performance reports, assisting departments with annual budgets and reviews, internal control, and tax studies. The Chief Accountant is supporting the accounting team in resolving conflicts, delegating and organizing tasks, as well as motivating and leading teams during project developments.

1. Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
2. Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
3. Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to the ERP team for performance improvements.
4. Generate financial reports and statements to managers for review.
5. Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
6. Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
7. Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
8. Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.

1. Hands-on 4+ years of experience within the technology industry in a similar role, working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
2. Hands-on experience in month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
3. Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
4. CPA or CMA certificate is a must.
5. Good analytical skills.
6. Extensive knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
7. Fluent in English and Arabic with excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
