Anantara is looking for an experienced Recreation Supervisor to join the team and work in Salalah, Oman.

1. Oversees the smooth running of the Sports, Recreation and pool service on a day to day basis to achieve the highest possible levels of guest satisfaction.
2. Is responsible for maintaining the authenticity of Sun Shine Butlers and pool service.
3. Creates new, unique and interesting Sports and Recreation activities that draw upon the best cultural, sporting or other offerings of Al Baleed Resort by Anantara.
4. Continually positions the sports and leisure offering as a differentiator and a point of competitive advantage for the hotel.
5. Ensures outsourced service provides are of good standard.
6. Has complete knowledge of the products and services offered by the resort.
7. Leads the implementation of all health and safety codes in the sports and leisure activities of the hotel, and in particular to take full and complete care of children.
8. Takes lead on the Anantara Children program.
9. Ensures that all activities are performed in a safe environment using proper safety techniques.
10. Trains and assists in the evaluation of attendants who work with fitness programs. Supervise instructors and all other associates helping with any activities or functions arranged via the Sports & Recreation.
11. Uses qualified attendants in all areas where relevant qualifications are required, i.e. Fitness leader, Aerobic Instructors, Lifeguard.
12. Monitors the success of the activities programs through the number of participants per scheduled event and through guests’ feedback. Make necessary adjustments to maintain top quality, fun filled and original programs for hotel guests.
13. Prepares and circulate clear information to guests of the events offered by the hotel in conjunction with the Anantara Concierge.
14. Works closely to promote our Spa offering to ensure that we maximize guest satisfaction and hotel revenue by enabling our guests to experience our spa.
15. Develops and maintains a strong working environment with the other departments.
16. Ensures appropriate staffing given the activities on offer and the guest mix in the hotel.
17. Ensures proper accounting procedures are followed when collecting of charging fees for Sports & Recreations
18. Keeps himself updated with all guest bookings for recreational activities.
19. Ensure that liability waiver form is signed by guests going on experiences and provides safety briefings.
20. To ensure that guest history records are updated at all times in coordination with Guest Service Centre.
21. Attends training sessions as required.
22. Responsible for the upkeep and the cleanliness of the swimming pool, recreation centre, kids club and all areas of the department as per the standard operating procedures.
23. Ensures that all defects and reported to engineering and appropriately resolved.
24. Ensures that all games and equipment are in working order as per resort standards.

1. Bachelors Degree in Sports Science or related field.
2. At least 1 year experience on a similar role with a 5 star hotel.
3. Physically fit.
4. Very good organization and leadership skills.
5. Service oriented.
