Al Futtaim is offering a job opportunity as an Inclusion Leader to join the team at the Universal American School in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Duties & responsibilities
The Inclusion Leader ensures that the Student Support Services provides high quality professional guidance for inclusive practices and effective approaches to teaching and learning that meets the needs of our learners and improves standards of achievement for students in all phases. The Inclusion Leader ensures adherence to the Dubai Inclusive Education Policy Framework.
Eligibility criteria
- A BEd or a bachelor degree with a recognised Teaching licence/ post-graduate teaching qualification.
- Formal special education qualification(s) - Master’s degree in Special Education considered advantageous.
- Thorough understanding of developmental issues.
- Thorough understanding of inclusive educational strategies and practices.
- A positive attitude to students and parents.
- Highly developed internationally-minded, intercultural awareness, interpersonal and communication skills.
- IB training is desired, or an interest in/knowledge of inquiry-based instruction.
- Relevant classroom experience of 3 years or more (applicants who do not meet this requirement might still be considered depending on the strength of their application).
- Cultural savviness/sensitivity and the willingness to work in a fast-paced and high expectations environment.
- A growth mindset, resilience and an unwavering commitment to personal growth.
