Jobs in Turkey: Senior Data Scientist at TRT

TRT Network is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the team and work in Turkey for 2021. The Senior Data Scientist reports to the Head of Data & Audience Insights and will be responsible for developing and managing our data science and machine learning environment and specific requests that our digital strategy drives. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in managing and leading machine learning based recommendation and personalisation tasks across structured data that are streaming in real-time. Preferably, the Scientist has experience working for a digital brand in a similar role.

1. Being a part of ever-growing Data Science team and working at various project
2. Analyzing and understanding real-time and historical as well as structured and unstructured data types
3. Designing data pipelines while executing tasks end to end from aggregation to creating insightful data visualizations 
4. Transforming the data into statistical explorations
5. Building machine-learning/predictive algorithms such as regression, decision trees, random forests, etc.
6. Making necessary developments for the automation of models on cloud (AWS, GCP, MS Azure etc.)and on premise.
7. Contributing to continuous improvement by sharing technical knowledge and experience
8. Although an academic background in a related subject is preferred, more important is a passion for working with complex datasets and solving problems. A solid understanding of Machine Learning, plus either Python or Spark programming skills are essential.

1. Degree in a computational field related to mathematics, computer science or related data centric areas.
2. More than 5 years of hands on experience in data science or machine learning related position.
3. Working knowledge of modern programming languages such as Pythonand/or Spark with Scala.
4. Strong knowledge in the following fields: Recommendation Engines, Churn Prediction ,Customer Segmentation, and Predictive Analytics.
5. Excellent understanding of statistical modelling, predictive modelling, machine-learning, clustering and classification techniques, and algorithms.
6. Programming skills with Scikit-Learn and similar machine learning frameworks are required. 
7. Working experience with visualization tools and libraries
8. Programming skills with one of the deep learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch) and theoretical background on Deep Neural Networks are preferred.
9. Implementation experience with high volume, heterogeneous data using distributed systems such as HDFS, Kafka and Elastic Search.
10. Expertise of implementing data infrastructures by using GCP(BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc etc), AWS (RedShift, , Lambda, Athena, ECS, EC2etc) or MS Azure.
11. Working knowledge in Docker.
12. Having knowledge of architecting, building, and operating large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks like Kafka and Redis.
13. Familiarity with development processes (GIT, Kanban, DevOps, CI/CD).
14. Demonstrated academic experience in related subjects is preferred.
15. Strong intellectual curiosity and proactive thinking.
16. Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking, creative problem solver capabilities.
17. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
