Opportunity description

ABB Group is offering a job opportunity as a Virtual Commissioning Engineer to join Bursa, Turkey. 


Duties & responsibilities

  1. Simulation of designed tools and equipment.
  2. Making the reachability studies of tools and robots in ABB 3D RobotStudio software.
  3. Giving feedbacks mechanical design teams.
  4. Following manufacturing, assembly and start-up phases of designed equipments to ensure quality and functionality.
  5. Leading on-site commissioning and verifying virtual simulations.
  6. Preparing documentations for ABB standards.
  7. Supporting R&D projects and developing new robotic cells.
  8. Represent ABB during site visits, communicating at all levels to ensure customer satisfaction.
  9. Assist sales people during customer visits when necessary.
  10. Assist bid and proposal teams.

Eligibility criteria

  1. University degree in Engineering degree (Mechatronic, Mechanical or Electric/Electronics, Control and Automation).
  2. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in automation/robotics.
  3. Knowledge of industrial robot operations and servo systems, including electrical and software interfaces.
  4. Preferably have process knowledge in one or more disciplines such as welding, material handling, paint, press automation, picking/packing/palletizing, camera applications etc. is a plus.
  5. Preferably to have International Welding Engineer certificate.
  6. Preferably have a working knowledge of control systems, I/O, PLC and bus communication for building motion control.
  7. Experience in ABB Robots is a definite plus.
  8. Experience in offline robot programming and simulation packages (RobotStudio) is a plus.
  9. Advanced level of English skills.
  10. Innovative, team player and highly motivated profile with strong interpersonal skills.
