Jobs in UAE: Career Development and Staffing Specialist at Sapphire

Sapphire Recruitment Consultants is looking for a talented Career Development and Staffing Specialist to join the team and work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. 

1. Guide and coach Career Development & Staffing Assistant and oversee his/her key deliverables.
2. Manage the allocation of client facing management consultants on projects and business development activities by interfacing closely with Head of Staffing, Practice Seniors, and home team staff.
3. Propose and design departmental initiatives (e.g., digitizing reports, streamlining processes etc..) to improve processes or implement new policies and drive their implementation with the supervision of the Head of Staffing.
4. Interact daily with Partners, Principals, Managers and Business Operations Team members to understand requirements in terms of open needs on projects, required support on marketing/un-billable work.
5. Connect on a need basis with staff mentors for issues with their staffing.
6. Propose staffing allocations by matching available resources to projects while balancing business and personal needs (development needs and preferences) as well as personal preferences.
7. Develop an understanding of current staff profiles and skills to aid in optimal allocation staff to projects.
8. Manage allocation of Summer Interns (Associates and Senior Associates) to projects in line with constraints (timing, nature of work, industry preferences, etc.).

1. This role would suit someone from a professional services environment or management consultants.
2. Degree educated.
3. At least 3 years relevant industry sector background and experience doing a similar role.
4. Excellent Microsoft experience.
5. Approachable and diplomatic.
6. Ability to work in a fast-moving pressurized environment and sometime work long hours.
7. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
8. Positive, lively can-do approach.
9. Flexible to travel for business when needed.
10. Arabic would be an advantage but is not essential.
11. Must currently reside in the UAE.
