Summer Internship at news station from Walt Disney in the USA 2023

Walt Disney is offering Summer Internship at news station in the USA 2022.

• The opportunity to attend production meetings
• Assist the assignment desk
• Answer phones and conduct beat checks
• View and log tapes
• Transcribe interviews
• Research new topics (including online/social media news research)
• Aid in the planning of news series
• Observe editors, writers, producers, directors, and technical crews
• Travel with reporters and field crews for stories and live remotes on occasion, when health and safety requirements are met

Basic Qualifications:

• Major or previous coursework in Broadcast Journalism, Communications or related major
• Experience with MS Office
• Prior newsroom internship
• Strong, ongoing knowledge of hard news/current events
• Strong writing skills
• Attention to detail
• Flexibility and ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment

Required Education

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months

Additional Information:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization​
