Opportunity description

Amman Academy, part of Nord Anglia Education, is recognized as an IB world school and is one of the top international schools in Jordan. It is a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 private IB day school teaching bilingually in English and Arabic. Located in the heart of West Amman in the popular neighborhood of Khalda, the institution is currently seeking a PYP Teacher Assistant to join their academic team and help foster a safe, happy environment where children and young people can thrive and learn.



Duties & responsibilities

  • Align all professional attributes with the Amman Academy Values: Creativity and Innovation, Integrity, Well-being, Collaboration, Respect and Discipline, and Educational Excellence.

  • Read, understand, and adhere to the school's Guiding Statements and policies, including Child Protection, Whistleblowing, Assessment, and Inclusion/SEN policies.

  • Participate in written assessments, subject-specific assessments, and demo classes when required by the faculty.

  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils, embracing all races, abilities, religions, genders, and cultures.

Eligibility criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language, English, or a related field.

  • Previous experience working with children in a school or classroom setting is an advantage.

  • IB (International Baccalaureate) experience is highly preferred.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • High levels of organization and time management capabilities.

  • Solid IT skills and a natural story-teller mentality.
