Remote Job Opportunity as a WordPress Technical Support at Awesome Motive

Awesome Motive offers a remote job opportunity as a WordPress Technical Support to join the team for 2021. 

1. Working the support inbox, making sure customers receive timely responses.
2. Fielding and recording feature requests.
3. Providing support to users on the WordPress.org forums for plugins.
4. Testing bug reports locally, and when confirmed pass them to the development team with detailed instructions.
5. Pre-release quality assurance testing for updates and new releases.
6. Updating and creating tutorials and documentation.
7. Writing code snippets to solve one-off problems.
8. Communicating with the team and supporting your peers using chat, audio, and video.

1. Excellent English writing and communication skills.
2. Patience, grace, and a sense of humor.
3. Exceptional troubleshooting abilities (ie include finding CSS and JavaScript conflicts using browser developer tools, determining whether a plugin could be causing a code conflict).
4. At least 2 years of experience with WordPress.
5. Strong comprehension of HTML and CSS - you can write HTML and apply styling from "scratch".
6. Strong leadership with the ability to step up and take charge when needed.
7. You can take technical lingo and make it understandable to customers.
8. Ability to prioritize workloads in order to balance an assortment of tasks and meet deadlines.
9. Personal Computer with Internet Access.
10. Availability to participate in audio/video meetings between the hours 9 am - 5 pm ET.

Preferred qualifications:

1. Proficiency in writing documentation.
2. Proven track record providing support for WordPress plugins.
3. Experience working with email marketing service providers (eg. Mailchimp, AWeber, etc).
4. Experience with WordPress development (eg themes, hooks, filters, plugin API, etc).
5. Working knowledge of PHP.
