Opportunity description
Samsung is offering a job opportunity as a Product Manager (Intermediate) in Canada.
Duties & responsibilities
- Lead the ideation of innovative product capabilities and feature sets
- Identify and analyze new market opportunities that inform how a product should evolve
- Make scope and prioritization decisions, balancing multiple competing inputs against the product strategy
- Participate and drive the development of implementation strategies and plans
- Influence key stakeholders across a matrixed organization where authority may be limited
- Work closely with project management, UX design, engineering, technology operations and business teams to ensure the product vision and roadmap gets executed
- Define product positioning and key product messages
- Leverage data analytics, A/B testing and user research to drive KPIs
- Manage shifting priorities, limited resources, and dependencies; change direction quickly where necessary
- Communicate and get buy-in on product proposals from a global audience, including senior management and share these initiatives with the rest of the organization
- Identify improvement opportunities in the product management process that best maximize efficiency and help support successful launches
Eligibility criteria
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of end-to-end product lifecycle experience with a focus on technology innovation
- Experience in one or more of the fields of cloud services, enterprise solutions, web architecture, mobile applications, developer services (SDKs, APIs), mobile security and data driven solutions
- Domain knowledge of mobile device management, big data analytics or machine learning
- Technical experience gained in software development, systems integration or solutions architecture
- Client or partner facing experience gained in a consulting, sales engineering or business development role
- Experience across multiple software development methodologies, specifically Agile and Waterfall
- Highly organized with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to confidently deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on stakeholder management, negotiation and persuasion, and comfortable working across different cultures
- An aptitude to learn and to innovate in a rapidly changing environment
