The company is looking for a Senior System Administrator (Level 3 Support) to join their growing infrastructure team. The professional will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and ensuring the reliability of the production systems and hosting infrastructure. As a senior member of the operations team, the candidate will play a key role in designing scalable system architectures, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, and supporting both internal teams and customer-facing platforms.
Duties & responsibilities
Troubleshoots complex infrastructure and system-level issues across servers, networking, and applications.
Maintains and optimizes server operating systems across physical and virtual environments.
Ensures the stability, integrity, and security of systems supporting critical business operations.
Implements and manages infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and reporting tools.
Identifies and remediates security vulnerabilities across systems and services.
Supports and mentors Level 1 and Level 2 engineers when handling complex technical issues.
Develops and maintains system documentation, procedures, and architecture guidelines.
Collaborates with development and operations teams to improve infrastructure performance.
Participates in on-call rotations and incident response processes when necessary.
Eligibility criteria
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong experience with Linux-based systems (CentOS, RHEL, CloudLinux).
Deep understanding of the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache/OpenLiteSpeed, MySQL/MariaDB, PHP).
Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, protocols, routing, and Linux firewall configurations.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl for automation.
Experience administering relational databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (Proxmox, Virtuozzo, VMware) and Docker containerization.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack.
Familiarity with hosting control panels such as cPanel, Plesk, CyberPanel, HestiaCP, CWP, and WHMCS.
