Amazon offers a job opportunity, it is looking for a payroll professional who wants to be customer-obsessed and take the payroll experience to another level to help build a rapidly growing company. Every day it is encouraged and driven to improve processes and look for better solutions for its internal customers.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be mainly responsible for:

Be an owner and fully accountable of the payroll processing cycle for a country or a company depending on size and complexity.
Payroll Balances and controls at input and output.
Payroll Accounting support.
Point of contact for stakeholders (Benefits, Compensation, Stock Options, HR Services, Local HR, Recruitment, Accounting, Treasury, and others).
Projects: process improvement (Six Sigma), country expansions, new payroll setup.
Independently run and own the process of GOSI and Mudad within the KSA Payroll team, ensuring that Amazon is always compliant with the current and new law regulations set forth by the respective authorities.
Actively lead projects related to both improvements in existing payroll processes and potential entity launches.
Partner effectively with various stakeholders and upstream teams to mitigate pre-defect/defect events, thereby ensuring Amazon employees are paid accurately and on time.
Ensure payroll operations are run smoothly and with the highest level of controllership, thereby ensuring alignment with internal policies and external legislation set forth by governmental authorities.
Work independently on deliverables and expectations delegated by your manager and leadership, with high ambiguity and complexity.
Provide clear and concise answers to stakeholders and employees alike.
Improve Amazon processes in cooperation with the Operational Excellence team.
You can use your ideas to run your own “Just Do It” projects.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience.
3+ years of tax, finance or related analytical field experience.
3+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience.
3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs).
3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience.
3+ years of finance or related analytical field experience.
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
You are preferred to have:
- 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
- MBA, or CPA.
- Knowledge of Tableau.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g. SQL, MS Access, Essbase) and other financial systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
