ITP Media Group is offering a job opportunity as a Contributing Editor - Gault&Millau (Remote / Freelance). Gault&Millau is looking for expert food writers with rich knowledge of the UAE’s culinary scene to contribute features to its website and social platforms. Ideal candidates will be able to contribute pitches and features on a weekly basis, covering all facets of the Emirates’ food and beverage scene, with a focus on local chefs and restaurateurs, emerging talent (front and back of house), sustainability, fine dining and the localisation of global dining and culinary trends.

1. Pitch and contribute weekly features for Gault&Millau UAE on a variety of themes, in formats such as news, guides, interviews, trend analysis and listicles.
2. Meet weekly deadlines for content submission, filing copy that is clean, well-structured and thoroughly fact-checked.
3. Contribute ideas to a weekly, monthly and annual content calendar.
4. Ensure editorial standards are met, all relevant copyrights have been cleared, content is optimised for SEO and content meets local and legal guidelines.
5. Have a strong network of contacts to reach out to for comment, insight and analysis on Gault&Millau feature themes.
6. Have a strong understanding and knowledge of the local culinary scene, global trends and talking points.

1. Experienced writer or journalist with a strong background in writing on food and beverage themes.
2. Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, and respond proactively to feedback.
3. Strong understanding of SEO and social media best practice.
