Opportunity description

Enel Group, in cooperation with InnoCentive Company, invites all creative people all over the world to participate in a competition with an award of $20,000 to help in finding solutions to combine digital communication and sales for electricity and gas market customers. With the development of the internet, an abundance of information can be found quickly and easily. New digital marketing options are available, yet people who are bombarded by messaging may simply ignore these advertisements when using an app, checking their email, or surfing the web. Enel is searching for digital solutions that allow existing and potential customers the ability to seamlessly browse and purchase products and services, anytime and anywhere.

Challenge Rules:

  1. This is a Theoretical Challenge, which requires only a written proposal to be submitted.
  2. The Challenge award will be contingent upon theoretical evaluation of the submission by Enel.
  3. To receive an award, the Solvers will not have to transfer the exclusive IP rights to Enel. Instead, Solver will grant to the Enel a non-exclusive license to practice their solutions.

Evaluation Criteria:

Enel will evaluate the proposal using the following criteria:

  1. Overall scientific and technical feasibility of the proposed solution.
  2. The economic potential of concept (e.g. Total Cost of Ownership).
  3. The business potential for Enel.
  4. Novelty and creativity.
  5. Potential for the proprietary position (i.e., is the technology novel or protectable).
  6. User’s capabilities and related experience.
  7. The realism of the proposed solution.
  8. The maturity level of the proposal.
  9. In case the reward includes “Collaboration with Enel”, once suitable solution/s have been identified, Enel will reserve the opportunity to start a collaboration, by way of example, all or part of the following activities:
  • Test execution.
  • Supply of prototypes (if equipment).
  • Installation and site tests.
  • Follow up and monitoring of the proposed idea behavior.

Benefits:

An award of $20,000 will be given to the winner.

Conditions:

  1. The final award for this Challenge is contingent upon satisfactory completion of the verification process, including acceptance of the Challenge-Specific Agreement (CSA) that is the regulation for this Challenge.
  2. After the Challenge deadline, Enel will complete the review process and make a decision with regards to the Winning Solution(s).
  3. All Solvers that submit a proposal will be notified on the status of their submissions.
  4. The verification process includes obtaining the following from the Solver:
  • Signed affidavit (based on the CSA).
  • Employee waiver (if applicable).
  • Proof of identify.
