ِِِArchitecture Competition for Students and Young Professionals for Chance to Win $1,500

ADEDU announces its open Architecture Competition for architects from around the world, to create innovative solutions with the aim of identifying the best proposal for a Creative Exhibition Center in Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. The site of this competition is located at the heart of Oriental Parade, one of the most beautiful and popular streets in Wellington. The area of the site is about 530 m2 with a semi-circular shape projecting into Wellington Harbour. The winning design will demonstrate a high degree of expression and creativity in fulfilling the program requirements. 

Eligibility and conditions: 

This Architecture Ideas Competition is open to students and young professionals under the age of 40, in areas related to architecture. No professional qualification is required. Design proposals can be developed individually or by teams of four people per team. The organizers encourage and support the registration of architecture teaching institutions as this competition provides a realistic, compelling and challenging task for students. This is an ideas competition, therefore all submitted projects should be for a concept design. 

Prizes:

All winning proposals will be published in architectural magazines, ADEDU website and will be exhibited in Wellington. The total prize money is worth 3,000 NZD, and its distributed as follows:

[1] 1st place  Prize: 1,500 NZD 

[2] 2nd place Prize: 1,000 NZD

[3] 3rd place Prize: 500 NZD

[4] 5 Honorable Mentions will receive Certificates  

The payment of the monetary prizes will be made up to 30 days after Public Announcement of the winners.

 ADEDU is an association that was established in 2016 with the aim to promote young and talented architecture students and graduates. The organization cooperates from Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. ADEDU hope that their initiatives will grow and strengthen small local communities of architects and designers in New Zealand. ADEDU organize competitions, events and exhibitions for young architects and designers- no matter if students or graduates. The organization promotes topics that are emerged out of New Zealand socio-economic context, but also globally relevant. International architects and designers are always invited to join all of the organization's events.
