ECOS FEZ Design Completion for The Prize of 1,000,000 AMD 2019

"FEZ ECOS Design" is a competition that gives an opportunity to be apart of the creation of the industrial mining center in a cooling tower at the Hrazdan TPP. That will become part of the technology cluster for innovative start-ups, and will also serve as the data center of the FEZ. This is a chance for young designers and architects to contribute to the creation of infrastructure for the development of high-tech projects in Armenia which will contribute to a balanced territorial development of the country, as well as attracting foreign investment and technology. The ECOS wants the appearance of the data center facilities to be a reflection of the ECOS vision, so we are waiting for your ideas.

The competition's category consists:

• Design project of the cooling tower.
• Design project of the administrative building, and
• Design project of the surrounding area.

Works are evaluated on three criteria:

• The visual image of the object.
•  Presentation of the project in the form of slides with the development of diagrams.
•  Estimated work and financial budget.

 The Award

the winner of the contest receives the status of the winner, a certificate for 100 thousand AMD for winning the competition and 900 thousand Armenian drams for finalizing the competitive Work and transferring the Design project ready for implementation. The total prize fund for each nomination is 1,000,000 Armenian Dram. 

The Procedure for accepting the Prize

• The Contest Winner is obliged to attend the award ceremony of the Contest participants, which will be held after the end of the Contest in Armenia.
•  All shipping costs are paid by the Contest Winner themselves.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Any capable citizen who has reached the age of 18 (eighteen) years can become a participant in the Contest.
2. Participation in the Contest implies familiarization and full consent of the Participant to these Rules.
3. Each Participant can provide one entry in each nomination for participation in the Contest
4.  Works can be performed by several persons in collaboration, by a group of persons. In this case, all the requirements imposed by these Rules for an individual Participant apply to each of the co-authors and to each individual belonging to a group of persons. Despite the fact that the Work may be created by the efforts of several persons, the Participant, as well as if he is declared the Winner or one of the Finalists in accordance with these Rules, will be only one person; The indicated persons independently choose which of them will be the Participant of the Competition.

The Four Stages of The Competition:

1. Acceptance of applications for participation in the Competition.
2. An Open Vote is taken for the Jobs placed at the time of launch by ticking like (likes). Voting takes place on the Contest Site during registration and/or authorization through Facebook.
3. The definition of the finalists will be determined through the highest number of “Like” marks. And they will be notified of the results by e-mail
4. Determination of the winners. They will be notified of the decision of the Jury by e-mail.

Rules of The Competition: 

• The work can be created in any technique but must be submitted in formats of:

1.  PPT (Powerpoint) for presentations.
2.  JPEG (JPG) and GIF for images.
3.  Video files must be submitted by entering a working link from youtube.com in a special field of the registration form

•  No more than two links to the Application. Access to files by reference must be open.
•  Images and text must be in digital format.
• Works containing intellectual property owned by third parties, including company names, trademarks or company logos, are subject to disqualification.
• When submitting an application for participation in the Competition, the Participant submits, acknowledges and guarantees that the Participant is the sole author of the Work, the Work is original, created exclusively by the creative work of the Participant (co-authors).
•  Only original Works are allowed to participate in the competition. Works must be free from any legal obligations in favor of third parties.
•  Applications are not accepted for Works that have won prizes in other competitions - international and/or Armenian
• Participation in the Competition is not allowed Works containing advertising goods and services, trademarks and service marks of third-party organizations.
•  Participation in the Contest implies familiarization and full consent of the Participant to these Rules.
•  In addition to materials that are publicly available, each Work must, in its integrity, represent a single work from original materials created by the Participant or to which the Participant has all the rights necessary to comply with these Rules and suitable for presentation to the unlimited circle of persons.

Important Notes:

• If the participant was nominated they are responsible for funding their own ticket.
• The participant has the right to refuse to participate in the Contest at this stage. The Participant informs the Organizer in any way convenient for him, which allows the Organizer to reliably verify that the refusal occurs voluntarily directly from the Participant.
• The dates of the Competition indicated in these Rules may be changed at the discretion of the Organizer. In the event of a change in the date of the Competition, all Participants in the Competition will be notified in writing by e-mail indicated during registration on the Website of the Competition
