The Roux Institute Techstars Accelerator is offering a grant for startups working in any field using any type of business model, as the accelerator will work with startups focused on building expertise at the intersection of humans and machines in areas that will revolutionize how humans live and work including AI, life sciences and health, and data and analytics. In 2022 this program hopes to run in-person in the United States, dependent on COVID-19 conditions.
Benefits
- Techstars provides accelerator portfolio companies with access to financial, human, and intellectual capital to fuel the success of their business.
- Techstars contributes $20,000, which is commonly used as a stipend to support living expenses during the program, and in return receives 6% equity of the company until the company raises a priced equity financing of US $250,000 or more (a “Qualified Financing”).
- Additionally, upon acceptance to a Techstars mentorship-driven accelerator, every company is offered an optional $100,000 convertible note.
- Acceleration in a 90-day Techstars mentorship-driven accelerator program with personal mentorship and office space.
- Lifetime access to the Techstars worldwide network of entrepreneurs, including more than 10,000 mentors, 10,000 investors, 1,600 alumni companies, and over 200 staff members.
Eligibility criteria
- Round out your team with business, technical, and other necessary skills.
- Make progress on your prototype or product and reference it in the application.
- Demonstrate early traction or provide data points to validate your core assumptions.
- The primary language that they use in verbal and written communications during all accelerator programs is English.
- You can not join the program as a single founder you must be in a team with other co-founders.
