A Research Competition for Jordanian with awards up to 1000 JD from the Center of Strategic Studies

In the memory of Al Wafaa and Albaiah, Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan announced a research competition for King Hussein Bin Talal's Chair for Jordanian and International Studies in its first session 2019. The award is designed for cross-disciplinary students and researchers at Jordanian universities, colleges and scientific institutes opening the doors for them to do research about one of the selected various fields of study in the political and historical, economic, social including development and youth, education, health, urban developments disciplines and spaces related to the history of Jordan and its institutions during the reign of King Hussein God rest his soul.

What is the theme:

"The role of the late King Hussein Bin Talal in promoting the youth movement during his reign". The competition aims at contributing to create a research environment for young students and researchers, encouraging them to do more research on areas related to King Hussein Bin Talal's era and his achievements. In addition to utilizing youth scientific capacities to stimulate their innovation and creativity.

Terms of Submission:

1. Applicant must be a student, researcher, or academic staff member between the ages of 18-30.

2. The research must be prepared for the competition and has not been published or submitted to any other party.

3. The award committee's resolution to accept or reject is a final decision while the committee does not provide feedback as to why candidates are not selected.

4. The three winning papers will be published in a book and the winner will be provided with one copy of the book in which the research will be published.

Award value:

The winner and runners up will be awarded the chair armor as well as a certificate of appreciation from the Center and cash prizes for each.

Prizes will be awarded like this: 
1. The grand prize is 1000 JD.
2. The second runner up prize is 750 JD.
3. The third runner up prize is 500 JD.

Selection Criteria: 

A specialized scientific committee of researchers undertakes the task of judging the submitted papers based on academic and research quality standards. The results of the competition will be announced at a special ceremony to be held at the University of Jordan.
