AQUATECTURE Home Design Competition for Chance to a $2,000

Volume Zero Magazine is delighted to announce its AQUATECTURE 2018 Architecture Competition, which is an open idea design competition that is open to architects, designers, engineers, teachers, thinkers, students and everyone who can imagine a Utopian Aquatic World for the future humans to live in. The competition challenges the participants to create futuristic, water-based habitat for humans to prosper and thrive on this aquatic home that is flooded resilient. The participants objective is to design an aquatic home that can house 20 individuals with spaces to live in (sleep, rest, sanitize, work and interact). The aquatic home should be self-sustainable, environmentally sound and should be able to survive the harshest seas. It can be movable by itself or can use an external agent for changing its location. 

Eligibility: 

Volume Zero invites everyone, irrespective of their professions or qualifications, to join the competition and present their ideas. Participants are free to submit multiple entries but each entry needs to be registered separately. Alongside individual entries, team entries are also allowed. The English language is to be used as the language of communication for all drawings. The identity of the participants needs to be anonymous and not shown in their work,  and submissions after the deadline will not be considered. 

Prizes: 

The winners will receive a total cash prize of $4500, distributed as follows:

[1] 1st Prize: $2000 cash prize, in addition to a Volume Zero Trophy, a certificate of achievement and Publication.

[2] 2nd Prize: $1200 cash prize, in addition to a Volume Zero Trophy, a Certificate of achievement and Publication.

[3] 3rd Prize: $800 cash prize, in addition to a Volume Zero Trophy Certificate of achievement and Publication.

[5] Top 5 Honourable mentions will receive $100 Each, a certificate for participation, and would be published in Volume Zero website and other leading international Magazines.
