The Cheltenham Illustration Awards announces the launch of its 2019 Exhibition and Annual for both emerging and established illustrators.
The theme for 2019’s Exhibition is: All Together Now: Tales of Unity. The focus of the Awards has always been one of narrative. Visual storytelling, whether sequential or single image, gives scope to the imagination and opens up possibilities beyond the present moment; what happened before? What happens next?
Eligibility
This award is open to all students, established and emerging illustrators.
Award
The selected work will be showcased at the Museum in the Park, Stroud, UK, other venues such as the London Book Fair, and published in the 2019 Cheltenham Illustration Awards Annual, which will be distributed to educators and publishers, internationally. The Awards will also be inviting work from established artists and illustrators whose that contributes to the theme.
Submission of work is FREE.
Submission of illustrations
Illustrations should be uploaded in the following form:
- File image size: Portrait or landscape 50x40 cm max, 300dpi.
- Image format: High quality JPEG.
- Information file: txt (notepad/textedit).
- Both image and txt file Names: (FirstName_LastName).
- submissions as email attachments or with the text (your email and name etc...) are not accepted. Please instead make sure to include a Notepad/Textedit file along with your image submission when you send your submission using 'WeTransfer'.
- Max of 4 entries per person.
- If you are currently a student still at the time of entry or waiting for graduation, Please include- 'STUDENT' and the University you attended.
About organization
These Awards are administered by the University of Gloucestershire, UK. There are two titled loose sections, ‘Student’ and ‘Emerging and Established’. The Student category is open to all full time students over 18 years of age worldwide.The Emerging and Established category is open to any newly practising illustrators who are wishing to gain exposure of their work and to those who are more established and are apart of the illustration world.
