Opportunity description
Aperture Foundation is inviting photographers and artists from all over the world to apply for the Paris Photo – Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards which celebrate the photobook’s contribution to the evolving narrative of photography, with three major categories: First PhotoBook, PhotoBook of the Year, and Photography Catalogue of the Year.
The first prize value is $10,000 and the shortlisted books will be featured in the fall 2018 edition of The PhotoBook Review issue 015 (published by Aperture Foundation), to be released at Paris Photo.
Eligibility criteria:
[1] Entries must be made by the photographer(s)/artist(s) responsible for the given book, by the publisher responsible for the given book, or by a third party acting with consent of the photographer(s)/artist(s).
[2] Each entrant agrees not to submit any entry that infringes any third party’s proprietary rights, intellectual property rights, industrial property rights, personal or moral rights or any other rights, including without limitation, copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, privacy, publicity, or confidentiality obligations.
[3] Applicant can submit a self-published book has been picked up by a trade publisher and rereleased under their imprint, the trade edition is still eligible for the First PhotoBook prize.
[4] No exceptions will be made for late submissions.
