Animation Film Production in Singapore and Win Up to $2540

Asia TV Forum & Market is offering The ATF Animation Pitch 2020  which is the Asian pitching eventfor individuals, students and small to medium sized companies with innovative concepts in animation targeting kids of all ages. The pitch can be an idea of an animated shorts/series/feature film, taking place during ATF on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. This event is organised by Reed Exhibitions within the framework of ATF 2020. The aim of the ATF Animation Pitch 2020 is to discover, reward and encourage producers to improve their craft, enhance career portfolio and develop skills necessary to break in and succeed.

Terms and Conditions:

•  The ATF Animation Pitch 2020 is open to all creators and producers across Asia Pacific (under the banner of a company or otherwise) to present their new and original animation concept/ work.
• The working language of the ATF Animation Pitch 2020 is English.
• Applicants should be of a minimum age of 16 and above. 
• Applicants travelling to Singapore for the live pitch if selected as a finalist, may need to meet the 18-year age requirement without a parent/guardian.
• Applicants for the ATF Animation Pitch 2020 shall submit all required pitch materials to present their original concepts.
• The Pitch presentation on a WORD, PDF, or on a PowerPoint document shall include:

1. A detailed concept note and brief synopsis of storyline, including an opening paragraph that summarizes the animation pitch or logline
2. Character sketches (written description of character personalities)
3. Character design (Optional)
4. Key location designs (Optional)
5. A clear statement of the target audience
6. A brief profile/ biography of applicant(s)

Prize:

The winner will receive a S$3500 cash award $2540

Important Dates:

• Call for entries opens online: May 20, 2020
• Deadline for entries: September 30, 2020
• Announcement of finalists: 1 November 2020
• Finalists pitching: Thursday December 3, 2020

Selection Criteria: 

• Selection will be based on the following criteria:

1. Capability to translate & travel globally
2. Creativity
3. Originality
4. Innovation
5. Capacity of returning for multiple series/ shorts

• The selected projects will also have to be:

1. Well structured, tightly formatted
2. Fitting in the following genres of animation: Comedy, Adventure, Action, Fantasy
3. Potential to travel as a series/shorts/film to countries worldwide
4. Projects must be new and original concepts, which have not yet been commissioned or broadcasted on linear television or nonlinear television.
